There are lots of tricks to shorten the time spent preparing, cooking, and cleaning up. The less hassle it takes, the more likely youâll be to actually use the food you bought at the store instead of calling for delivery. Hereâs what every pseudo-chef should have in his or her arsenal.
Nine-inch and 12-inch nonstick pans. The 9-inch pan is perfect for cooking eggs or sautéing a single chicken breast. A 12-inch pan is great for stir-fries and when youâre cooking for both of you. Make sure to invest in these; the better the pan, the less butter, oil, or nonstick spray youâll need, and the less time youâll spend at the sink afterward!
Grill. Whether itâs the real thing or a little indoor one (like a George Foreman), a grill is a must for BFBs. Itâs the one thing he loves to do thatâs actually good for him, so encouraging its use is a good idea!
Blender. Whip up yummy, low-fat, high-protein smoothies, and low-fat salad dressings, and liquidate fruits and veggies with ease. A blender is a must for the covert cook!
Cooking bags. Steaming rocks. Itâs totally easy (chicken and veggies steam in minutes), there are no dishes to wash, and it doesnât entail any added fat or calories.
Pizza pan. Itâs a favorite of BFBs, and, with hardly any work, you can whip up a healthy pie for you and your guy.
